Extended Day Learning & After School Care

 Extended Day Learning

EDL is a supervised after school study hall that is available to all students. It's a great time to get some extra help or just have a nice quiet, supervised place to finish up some homework. Students attending EDL are expected to bring something to work on and stay busy the entire time. It is not a social hour! If your student is serious about getting ahead or getting caught up on homework, EDL is a great option. EDL meets Monday - Thursday from 3pm - 4pm. Students that attend EDL are eligible to ride the late bus that picks students up at 4pm.

The sponsor is Sylvia Bayer.

If you need care for your student(s) after school, please see the information below about Boys and Girls Club. Please know that there will not be supervision for children after school if not enrolled in Boys and Girls Club.

Boys and Girls Club of Manhattan (BGC) offers on-site after school care at EMS for students who are members. A BGC membership is available for all children and youth ages 5 (enrolled in Kindergarten) to 18. ONLY children who are members of BGC may stay for after-school care and picked up by 5:30 p.m. in the evening.

To become a member of BGC, complete the membership application. (Note: The school office is not able to take registrations or payment for BGC.)
